Ecuador has a tropical climate with only 3 months of rain per year, while the rest of the tropical countries have 9 months of rain per year.

 

Ecuador is fortunate in having good soil which results in a higher number of leaves on the trees which gives higher yield of bananas. Contrary to other countries who offer a fruit shelf life of 20-30 days, we offer a fruit shelf life of 50-60 days.
